The ISA or Industry Standard Architecture has been around since the early 1980’s, that’s almost 30 years! However, the Availability of ISA bus COTS boards has been decreased radically over the last few years!
Many COTS providers have already issued “End of Life” and are now making these ISA products OBSOLETE!

ISA obsolescence in now a major problem for many companies, having certified equipment for monitoring, validation and test in the satellite, nuclear, missile and even intelligence businesses. These equipment may have been certified or qualified or the software effort may have been significant to implement the equipment.

Solution Concepts is currently working on providing an MIL-STD-1553 ISA bus solution, that will allow current ISA bus users to continue for perhaps 10 or 15 years.
